Match stats methodology

How Meddle defines, computes, and refreshes response-time and match-quality statistics shown on public pages.

Definitions

Response time is the median minutes from a structured intake submission to the first practitioner or practice response in Meddle. Match quality metrics summarise connection outcomes for opted-in supply — not directory rankings or paid placement.

Data source

Stats are computed from live Meddle Practice and Connect match events for onboarded, Cliniko-synced practitioners. We do not scrape public registers or invent placeholder listings.

Sample threshold

Public pages only show numeric response or connection stats when a published sample threshold is met for that service area (the same principle Carevo uses to avoid noisy small samples). Below the threshold, we omit the figure rather than display misleading precision.

Refresh cadence

Generated SEO pages revalidate from the public product feed on a defined cadence (hourly by default on the sales site). No page should show a months-old snapshot next to fresher stats elsewhere on the site.

What we exclude

Test accounts, non-opted-in supply, incomplete intakes, and cancelled connections are excluded from published aggregates. Methodology updates are versioned on this page when definitions change.
